Welcome to the Snapshot of You (SOY)
This guided journey will help you uncover and articulate your unique identity, values, and purpose. By answering a series of reflective questions, you'll create a personalized narrative—a "Snapshot of You"—that captures who you are and what matters most. It is designed as a companion tool to the book "The Five and a Half Questions Everyone Must Answer" by Joe Pellegrino. It is recommended that you read the book and then complete the exercise. However, you can still do the exercise without reading the book. You may purchase the book by Clicking Here.
How It Works:
1. Answer Thoughtfully
Each question is designed to encourage deep reflection. There are no right or wrong answers, so be honest and authentic. Take your time—this is your chance to explore who you are.
Need inspiration? Press the info/help button (represented by an “i” icon) next to each question to see suggestions and prompts that can guide your answers. You can select some that are listed when clicking “i” that pertain to you and also type your own answers.
2. Review Your Snapshot
After completing the questions, the system will generate your personalized "Snapshot of You" (SOY). Please note: While the system strives for accuracy, your SOY may need refinement to better reflect your unique voice.
3. Edit and Perfect
Click Print to download your SOY as a Word document. Use this editable file to refine and expand your narrative until it feels just right.
4. Seek Feedback
Share your answers with someone you trust to give honest feedback. Often, others can provide insight into how the world perceives us—what we might be missing or affirming what we see in ourselves. Be prepared for constructive criticism, as it can be challenging but vital for growth.
5. Use Your SOY
Your SOY is a tool for self-discovery and growth. Use it to align your goals, inspire confidence, and guide your personal or professional journey.
